A total of 2,500 Opie avatars have been sold so far. Many have also been given away on staking rewards, competitions and giveaways.
There are currently no upcoming sales planned for the remaining Opies and the DeRace team will most likely choose to use them as prizes rather than having another sale. Opies can still be bought on the secondary markets.
DeRace listed Opies 0 to 2,500 for sale. At the time of the sale, all pre-minted Opies from numbers 0 to 2,500 on Opensea were given a buy-now price and were available to buy on a first-come, first-served basis.
Opies in this sale were priced according to their background style. Three background styles exist in the Opie collection: solid colour, gradient colour and pictured background.
